8 years … 10+Crores… Thank You !

Today is the eighth anniversary of setting up ShikshaDaan. Its also the birthday of our inspiration, my father-in-law (late) Sri Govindachari. For the first four years of our existence, we hadn’t made a lot of progress as we had to get all the government clearances and exemptions. ShikshaDaan really took off in 2016 as soon as we got our 12AA registration. 

Very happy that our corporate sponsors have continued their support since 2016 and given us the much needed motivation to keep going. 

Statistics as of March 31, 2020 – 

The big number that is not mentioned in the above statistics is that our cumulative donations have crossed Rs. 10 Crores. 

We are blessed and deeply humbled with this experience. We thank all our well-wishers, sponsors, partners, elders, friends and family who have helped us on this journey and continue to do so. None of this is our achievement alone – its the good Karma of our parents that brought this opportunity to us and the trust that our sponsors have placed with us. Its our responsibility to deliver as best as we can. 

There is a lot more to do and we look forward to everyone’s support as we take the next steps in this long journey. Kabir and Tarita – thanks for becoming an integral part of ShikshaDaan and strengthening the organization with your experience and inputs. Rajeev, Akash, Abhay, Neelima, Latha and Subbu thanks for keeping us focussed on our goals by being our “Margadarshis”. Usha and Shanthi – a big thank you for being a part of our advisory council for the first four years as we took baby steps into the NGO world.
