Thank You Jasbir, Kapil & Clarion team – heroes backstage
19th October 2015
The first time we met Jasbir Singh was somewhere on a trail while cycling. I still remember the spot .. everyone had gone ahead and turned into a field and Jasbir stood just outside waiting for the rest of us to catch up and showed us the right track to get onto. He is an amazing rider and for some time, I tried pacing with him to improve myself and I did improve my speed, but over the many rides that we did together as Pedalyatris, Jasbir became a friend.
In 2012, a full 3 years after we had met, we decided to setup ShikshaDaan and turned to Jasbir for his creative input for the logo … the amazing ShikshaDaan logo is the result. The first thing that gets your attention is the logo and well, the way Jasbir created it, it just holds onto your attention. Thanks Jasbir. Thanks for giving ShikshaDaan a unique identity. You are connected forever to ShikshaDaan.
Kapil Godani was my classmate in the PGPMAX program at ISB. In the first party that we attended, he came up to me and said, that he was very interested in ShikshaDaan and we need to talk about it more. I said yes and then the course took over .. we never got talking about ShikshaDaan. Then at our reunion in Goa last year, I asked for help with the redesign of the website as the old website, just three years old, was not contemporary. Technology is racing and we had to keep up. Kapil immediately offered to help and mobilised a team at Clarion Technologies. Enter Amit Hiremath .. the leader of this project team. Right from the first meeting Amit was deeply committed to the project and was very keenly interested in ShikshaDaan. A whole bunch of people from Clarion got involved and two names that have to be specially called out are Kapil Lohakare and Faraz. They all worked on it in their non-existent spare time and the result is there for you to see.
Thanks Kapil, Amit, Kapil Lohakare, Faraz and the whole Clarion team for making the ShikshaDaan website so cool and contemporary. ShikshaDaan is indebted to you forever. Thank you.
Do check out the credits page to see these awesome guys – https://www.shikshadaan.com/credits/.
And Amit, thanks for finally putting in the “credits” page … people need to have role models to look upto, which is what all of you are. Heroes are not only on the front page, but also backstage :):)
